Frequently Asked Questions
Does it count characters with or without spaces?
Both. The main character card uses your toggle setting (with or without spaces). The sidebar also always shows the character count without spaces for comparison.
How is reading time calculated?
Reading time uses an average adult reading speed of 200 words per minute. Speaking time uses 130 words per minute, which is typical conversational pace.
Can I set a word limit?
Yes — type a number in the Limit field in the toolbar. A progress bar appears below the text area and turns orange at 80% and red when you go over.
Is this tool free?
Yes — completely free, no account required, no limits on text length.
